Boston Harbor Cruise June 21st
Ryan has been hard at work preparing a very special evening for next Saturday's Boston Harbor Boat Cruise show. We are pleased to announce the full lineup for the show.
In addition to a solo-acoustic/electric performance, Ryan has assembled a trio, and will be playing alongside drummer Tom Arey (J. Geils Band, Ghosts of Jupiter) and bassist Mike Rivard of Club D'Delf. Also joining the cruise for their own sets will be our friends, the one-and-only Jesse Dee and world class gypsy-jazz guitarist Stephane Wrembel.
Join us all as we set sail around the Boston Harbor islands to ring in the Summer Solstice on June 21st at 6:30pm.
Expect some musical surprises and sit-ins as well as brand new songs from Ryan and of course your old favorite RMB tunes.
In addition to the Boat Cruise, Ryan will be on the road a bit this summer when he is not home writing and recording. To see the current dates please click HERE.

Ryan to Sing National Anthem at Fenway!
This Friday night I will be singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park before the Red Sox take on the Blue Jays. !!!!!!!! What can I say? Total, 100% dream come true. I've been to more games at Fenway than I can count and it's one of my favorite places on earth. JamBase did a nice little writeup about it here.
I'm also playing with one of my favorite musicians on earth, Mike Dillon, in Hartford and Portsmouth this week (will have to leave the game early) and opening for Toad the Wet Sprocket in Portland tomorrow.

The Future of Ryan Montbleau Band
A letter from Jason Cohen:
Dear RMB friends and family,
After 10 years of relentless touring, it's with a heavy heart that I've decided to bring my time with the Ryan Montbleau Band to an end. The music we made will always be a great source of joy to me but the time has come for me to be home and focus my energy on my family.
I'm enormously grateful to all of you for the love and support you've given us over the years; you guys are truly the greatest fans in the world.
I love all the guys in the band and wish them the very best as they move forward. I'm positive this won't be the last time we share the stage. Thanks for the memories and see you down the road.
With love and gratitude,

Tours with Greensky Bluegrass and ALO!
With a run of solo-acoustic shows around the Northeast now wrapped up, the band will be hitting a few more spots to close out February, and then it's out to the great West in support of our friends Greensky Bluegrass in March. These guys are excellent and we're super excited to finally get back out west!
We're also very excited to announce a run of shows in the midwest and northeast with ALO. If you know this band then you know why we're so excited. If you don't, then we're even more excited for you to hear them. The vibe between our band and theirs is akin to a kin and a kin! Brothers from different mothers. Peas in a pod.

Hello everyone, thank you for reading this. My new record is almost here and I am very excited for you to hear it. Recorded in New Orleans in 2011, it is a mix of originals and choice, deep covers and it is unlike any record that I have put out before. The band is George Porter Jr. on bass, Ivan Neville on keys, Anders Osborne on guitar, and Simon Lott on drums. The title is For Higher. The release date is May 15th, but you can hear it sooner than that.
I have begun a PledgeMusic campaign to allow me to properly release For Higher on my own. Pre-order downloads will be available on April 15th, one month before the album is available anywhere else. All of the funds raised will allow this music to be heard by more people, and I can't thank you enough for your help. You made this possible and you continue to do that with your listening. There are some fun incentives on the page and some exclusive content on the way.

Ryan had a blast on Jam Cruise 10 and was honored to be there as a solo performer. Highlights included singing "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" with Galactic, "Love Rears Its Ugly Head" with Living Colour's own Corey Glover, picking tunes until dawn with Nathan Moore and Brad Barr on the starboard deck, and generally getting his mind blown by great music all around. A blog will be forthcoming...
