MOVING TOO FAST

Stormy minds they lead to stormy weather

I know

I got clouded lost in now or never

For so long

 

Gave myself no option of slowing

Never quite knew where I was going

But I was moving so fast

In a field I came upon a feather

Someone lost

Brought it with me to a shade of heather

Screeching halts and starts and stops

Must get back over the tree tops

Higher and higher and I can fly

So far above the weather

I was cruising fast as ever when I hit that wall

Half awake and barely saw it coming at all

These days I just sit by the river

Think about the boy that I was

Turn my eyes up towards heaven

And it shines a lot more than it does
